FRIDAY

Headlining your Friday, THE TANGENTS are having their eagerly awaiting Bode-gig (Bodega-gig… yup, proud of that one). With glorious leaping guitar lines, and almost Libertines-esque vocals, not mentioning Angus drumming like he’s going to take off any second, these guys are the definition of a bundle of fun. Having gigged heavily all around Notts last year, they’re very excited for their first gig of 2017! Their stuff is crazy catchy and if it’s not stuck in your head at the end of the night… well, just… go away.

Five piece Indie Rock band SHORT WEEKENDS were at Bodega not too long ago playing alongside FSN champs SUPER FURNITURE and PAPER SHOP DAVE, and they’re stoked to get back on that stage. Not your average Indie Rock band, you will hear some great keyboard synth action and wacky rhythms. They’re also due a new EP sometime soon so this could be the night for some first plays?

Pop-Rock quintet FOR THE GIRL are ’the band that should clash’, but actually marry together five different styles of music. The unique vocals of Sam Plenty, the crunchy guitar courtesy of Josh King, James Wells jazzy bass (and well any instrument he needs to play), Foxy’s old school drum lines and Isaac Hallas’ melodic lead guitar lines all blending together to make this cacophony of sound

FRIDAY

THE RUFFS only stepped onto the Rock City main stage a few months ago – but this week they are bringing their exceptional music to the smaller and cosier Working Mens Club, Hucknall. They’ve got the Indie Rock n Roll thing down to a T so best to get a mate under your arm and let their quirky but beautiful lyricism wash over you like a welcome rainstorm. A fierce rainstorm, mind.

VANITY BOX are back in top form, having played a few gigs with their new line up, and with some new music that’s just waiting to get out there. Ready yourself for a lot of chanting as this Indie bundle of fun bring catchy riffs and brilliant melodies that you’re going to really struggle to get it out your head the next day! Can’t be a bad thing, right?

THE COLLIDERS only played their first gig in Summer last year, but were hooked from the get go and haven’t stopped gigging since. These talented young lads bring a lot of raw talent to the table, though some of their fans are wondering if they have time to revise for those exams? Music is more important though… init? Get down early to hear them do their thaaaang!
