Hopefully you’re basking in the triumph of your record store day purchases whilst reading this. Maybe you’re even still finishing off some easter egg choc. There’s a celebration of Notts at The Maze, some live Stags and Pheasants in Mansfield and a musical piss up in a brewery.

TUESDAY

Notts in a Nutshell is back at The Maze with some great Nottingham talent.

REBELS GRIN will be playing some seriously heavy rock, taking influences from the likes of Black Sabbath and Black Stone Cherry. The band formed last year and we can’t wait to hear some recordings laid down.

You can catch Long Eaton band MODERN GUILT performing their ‘meticulously crafted’ Alt Rock to The Maze stage. The band used to be called Rughead but clearly felt some Modern Guilt about it, so changed their name… nope? Okay no.

The Frantics are also performing, but our journalistic endeavors couldn’t find out anything about em, so get down to find out for yourself.

You can also catch Kings and Bears from Lincolnshire.

FRIDAY

StagBandLive is kicking off over at the Stag and Pheasant in Mansfield.

WARREN IRELAND will be performing with his newly acquired band. Warren makes acoustic Folk Rock, which can only sound even more beaut with a band in tow. You can also catch URBAN RIFF, who make some… well, proper urbany riffs. The band have been playing together for bloody ages so get down to see what they’ve got.

Gazelle from Leicester are also playing.

SATURDAY

It’s time for another Piss Up in a Brewery, the Black Iris Brewery to be specific. I’m Not From London have teamed up with Black Iris to bring you lots of free music and beer. The beer probs isn’t free though. Soz.

MANNEQUIN are back with their first gig for a while, after releasing a load of new music last year. The three piece make Alt Rock with Shoegazey, Psychedelic, Grungey influences. The band merge their individual talents into one dazed sound. We hear they’ve been working on some new songs, so hopefully we’ll get a sneak peek on Saturday.

ISAAC are fresh from the release of their second album ‘Let It Burn’ last month and ready to take on the barrels. Calling themselves ‘throwback sad punks,’ the band formed back in 2012 and having been making intense, punky guitar riffs ever since.

Avalanche Party from Castleton and Unqualified Nurse Band from Derby are also playing.
