One of the hardest-working bands this city has to offer, BAND OF JACKALS are up next. No stranger to the Acoustic Rooms stage is folky favourite GEORGIE ROSE. 2012 has been a big year for this songstress, playing the WEYA opening event, gaining national radio play on XFM and winning the national Peacemix competiton – not bad for just 18! With heartfelt lyrics, melodious guitar and vocals laced with fragility it’s no wonder why GEORGIE ROSE is taking Nottingham – and further afield – by storm. A recent discovery for us and such a good one, ADY SULEIMAN is next. Having come to our attention through those legendary Farmyard Fridays at The Jamcafe, this guy is sure to become an irrefutable hit on the Notts Soul scene, his catchy tunes and effortless bluesy vocals guaranteed to win over the crowd. CLAY SHAPED BOY
Acoustic sensation CLAY SHAPED BOY is sure to warm your hearts and raise your festive cheer. The former DOG IS DEAD drummer (who left to focus on his acting) takes centre stage now, his gentle vocals and captivating songs demonstrating his incredible talent. Not to be missed!
ADAM PETER SMITH
Armed with just a guitar and an incredible voice, ADAM PETER SMITH is next. Smashing it every time he performs,ADY SULEIMAN will not only have you dancing but happily singing along to his infectious tunes too. MARITA
Free flow soulful vocalist MARITA is also set to perform. Collaborating with PIJ on guitar, MARITA will be showing off her ridiculously good lyric writing and dynamic vocal style. KABEN
With a voice so jazzy and vibrant, KABEN is bringing sexy back! Her quirky style and feel-good tunes are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Mixing up fresh covers with original tracks, this girl is sure to be your new girl crush by the end of her set (all with keyboard legend Benjamin James on, well, keys).
LEE GOUGH
With Community Recording Studio (CRS) roots, singer-songwriter LEE GOUGH grew up listening to the likes of The Beatles and The Specials. His track ‘We Have Sacrificed Enough’ is one of a number of great songs that showcase his 60s-influenced melodic pop sound. Easy listening tunes that you’ll be humming in the shower for days!
