GIG ONE
We have no doubt 2013 is going to be huge for INDIANA. To round off a mind-blowing last eight months, INDIANA will be performing a very special gig at The Nottingham Contemporary this Saturday (15th).
This is INDIANA’s very first headline gig. The ‘Blind As I Am’ star first came to prominence back in April in our Future Sound of Nottingham Competition. Her spine tingling vocals, compelling melodies and enchanting stage presence stunned the crowd into silence, an oft used cliche but in this case 100% accurate, no one there will ever forget it. Immediately establishing herself not just as one of Nottingham’s leading female artists but one of the most talked about in the UK, INDIANA is one of those talents where there is no question about ‘if’, it is simply about ‘when’. She is exactly the sort of artist The BBC Sound of 2013 Poll should be identifying and featuring prominently.
Support is from another Nottingham star with a huge 2013 ahead… SAINT RAYMOND.
PRICE: £5 in advance
DOORS: 7.30pm, The Space.

GIG THREE
I’m Not From London Presents JOANNA HUDSON’S “Home” album launch this Friday at The Jam Café The dress code for the night is 1920’s; think hooch runners, jazz singers and the whole Prohibition era.
JOANNA HUDSON
JOANNA HUDSON’s debut album ‘Home’ is appropriately named seeing as it was written and recorded on the piano in her family home. Even more appropriate is the setting of her launch party; the Jam Café has got to be one of the few venues that could double as your front room.
ROGUE MULE
Providing the support is the delightful folk outfit ROGUE MULE, they can craft a song and sing beautifully. A mellow pleasure for all to enjoy, think striped back folk executed flawlessly.
JOE DANKS will also be gracing us with his repertoire of pop folk creations and performing new material from his fresh off the press E.P released on December 10th (hear a track on the podcast). 2012 has been a fantastic year for him, placing in the top three in the Future Sound of Nottingham competition in June and being selected to play the Branch Out Festival .
LISA DE’VILLE
Also performing on the night is LISA DE’VILLE, an acoustic artist with incredible heartfelt songwriting ability. Armed with a guitar and the wholesomeness of her band, LISA DE’VILLE’s music is very refreshing to enjoy and listen to. LISA DE’VILLE grew up listening to artists like Joni Mitchel and Nick Drake who have influenced her style and approach to create intricate uplifting music.
