The place to be this Thursday night is the BBC Introducing gig being held by the County Youth Arts as part of SONAR, at the Old Library Theatre. Packed full of fantastic new music and hosted by the BBC presenter Dean Jackson, make sure you bring along your demo with you.
BRAD DEAR will be performing alongside his talented band, which will have your ears surrendering to their great twist of infused Folk Rock music, not forgetting his unique vocals, quality to listen to.
NEW COMMUNICATION add another exciting blend of genres to the evening; they are a vibrant new nine-piece band consisting of a mix of Soul, RnB and Hip-Hop. One of the ‘New Com’ family MATT BLICK also features on the latest Nusic New Music Podcast HERE. This band is guaranteed to make you dance and have you bopping your head uncontrollably.
KAPPA GAMMA will stun you with their raging energy on stage and with no moments rest will hit you with swish guitars, plenty of bass and lots of drum-based-groove. This Saturday I’m Not From London bring you a musical night full of extreme awesomeness at The Chameleon, carrying you rockers through the weekend with a blast!
RUCKUS who rock with twists and turns of unpretentious Indie and heavily guitar based tracks, will have you up dancing non stop. And with songs full of quirky, funny and insightful lyrics with a driving bass line, what’s not to enjoy!?
THE ALASKAN FACTION, Art Indie, Shoegaze Pop from one of Nottingham’s most sublime bands with influences including Bombay Bicycle Club and Peace to Two-door Cinema Club. Headlining is HER MAJESTY’S SERVICE, an outbreak of adrenaline pumping Indie Rock from this unlikely gang of delinquents. Spend St Patrick’s Day with a bowl of Irish stew, a choice of beverages and some vibrant acoustic music at The Maze this Sunday!
ADAM PETER SMITH a dazzling talented singer songwriter and previous Future Session artist which you can check out HERE. He will charm with his melodic lyrics and stunning cheek bones, with a catalogue of songs of the Folky Pop variety, this is a perfect match with a cheeky beverage in hand!
Another brilliantly determined artist appearing is LEE GOUGH, who can only be described as a soulful acoustic genius. This artist with his cleverly written and up lifting tracks, with a powerful Marvin Gaye-esque like vocal, appeals to hearts of all ages.
Headlining this celebratory day is LISA DE VILLE, an incredible acoustic artist armed with her guitar, crystal clear voice and beautifully written songs. A great act to round off an exciting gig and with live acoustic music across two stages (both in the same room) with a whole host of other great Nottingham artists also performing, what’s not to love!
