It gives us great pleasure to announce that our Artist of the Month this September is the magical and mystical WE SHOW UP ON RADAR.
Signed to local label Hello Thor Records, WSUOR is the carefully nurtured child of multi-instrumentalist Andy Wright’s vivid imagination. Mixing fantasy folk tales with ambient melodic rock, WE SHOW UP ON RADAR take you on a musical journey through the looking glass with supremely crafted melodies and gently soaring vocals.
The Peter Pan of the Nottingham scene, the ex-SWIMMING keys player possesses the ability to stir up childhood memories you’d long forgot with songs alight with melancholy and nostalgia. With debut album ‘Sadness Defeated’ set for release on September 10th, WSUOR’s graceful folk is like the lovechild of Bright Eyes and Mercury Rev, all topped off with a good dose of whimsy. Look out for a review of said album within the month.
