Afternoon New Music lovers!
Exciting news as our favourite Notts artists will be getting even more recognition with their very own awards show.
The brand-spanking new NOTTINGHAM MUSIC AWARDS have been announced for Spring 2012 and every man and his dog are up for nomination – that’s musicians, singers, promoters and everyone else who make the scene what it is.
Nottingham LIVE editor Darren Patterson said: “The Nottingham music scene is flying at the moment with several bands being signed by labels and several acts appearing at the likes of Leeds and Reading and Glastonbury… it felt like a great time to celebrate that talent in a new, entertaining way.”
Categories are likely to include Best Male/Female vocalist, Best Album/EP and the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award.
Winners will be selected by a specially selected panel of local musical experts and you guys of course.
