Hello Comrades.
Last night was a breath of fresh air!
As I walked into the room there was a sea of people all here to see MAS Y MAS, an incredible Nottingham band with strong Latin/Spanish/Afro-Cuban influences, and they even sang in Spanish!
It’s usual when I go to a gig to see people stood awkwardly, pint in hand, or slightly tapping their feet, but last night the front of the dance floor was filled with couples salsa dancing and around people were laughing and relaxed.
When I closed my eyes I felt like I was far away from the UK and the room was very hot reminding me of the sun (although that was probably just the alcohol kicking in).
They are a must see band!
