It’s the album Nottingham’s been holding its breath for, and on October 8th DOG IS DEAD’s long awaited debut ‘All Our Favourite Stories’ will be hitting the shelves (although it’s sure to be flying off them just as quickly).
Since their very first Future Session with us back in October 2009 (which you can see HERE), DOG IS DEAD have gone from strength to strength, their ‘big pop’ sound taking them from cult indie band to the cusp of stardom. With firm fan favourites ‘Glockenspiel Song’ and ‘Two Devils’ earning praise from the likes of Nick Grimshaw and Huw Stephens, ‘All Our Favourite Stories’ promises to deliver ten tracks of indie-pop anthems ranging from the impossibly catchy ‘Teenage Daughter’ to the softer, melodic harmonies of ‘Any Movement’.
To celebrate the album’s release and to say a big ol’ thanks to their home-grown fans, the five-piece will be doing a very special, one-off performance that same day where they play the album in full. Taking place at The Boat Club, a venue the band played in their early days, DOG IS DEAD will perform ‘All Our Favourite Stories’ in all its glory to an intimate audience of family, friends and fast-acting fans. Fancy being one of them? Tickets go on sale Monday at 5pm, so whack the date in your diary and set an alarm as they are guaranteed to sell out almost instantly. And why wouldn’t they? With anthemic choruses, soaring melodies and harmonies as tight as Trev’s curls, DOG IS DEAD are one of the most exciting bands around at the moment and we couldn’t be prouder to have played our small part in their story (see what we did there?).
